Krishna Murari completed his Bachelor’s in Art from the Government College of Art and Craft, Kolkata University, and his Masters from the College of Art, Delhi University. However, he currently lives and works in Delhi. He has participated in various group shows all over the country since 1990 and has been the recipient of a number of awards including the Gold Medal in 2002. Known for his mixed media pieces including works in leather on fibre glass, artist Krishna Murari returns to the India Art Fair with his latest installation titled “She” – a dark female form with the bar code printed on one leg and corresponding numbers on the other. The head is replaced with a box in the shape of a house and a screen that shows a woman’s face.
